Prague, Cyprus and Portugal were the scenes of the last performances of Queixume dos Pinos

  • Cyprus:

    n Cyprus, the group participated in the IV Mezínadoroní Folklorní Festival in the Cypriot town of Limassol, sharing the stage with groups from Serbia, Greece, Jordan, Romania and Cyprus. This is the most prestigious Festival in Cyprus. And this time, Queixume dos Pinos showed a great variety musical rhythm and a great spectacle on the setting

Our steps

Over its fifteen year history, Queixumes dos pinos led the Galician music and dance for many countries. In this route should be stressed Italy in the Friuli (Udine, Pordenone, Trieste) and in the region of Sicily, Agrigento, France, Issoire, Gap, Quimper,Seeboden Austria, Klagenfurt, Bitburg Germany Erfurt Germany, Cologne Germany, Greece, in Kavala, in Athens,Bistrita Romania, Portugal, in almost all large cities in Portugal, such as Lisbon, Porto, Braga, etc; Luxembrurgo in the Czech Republic, Prague, Nicosia Cypru, Limassol Pissouri . Apart from many parts of Spain, from Madrid and Barcelona.


Prague:

In Prague, Queixume dos Pinos participated in the VI Folklorní Mezinárodní Festival, the largest folk festival in the Czech Republic that develops in the most important squares of the city. Queixume dos Pinos became the center of Prague in a genuine festival Galicia with its joy, versatility and striking in the costumes.

Alongside participation in this festival, Milosav Vlcek, president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, received Queixume dos Pinos director, José Antonio Viñas, in an institutional event in the Czech parliament, and handed a diploma that emphasizes the important work that the Galician group develops in the field of folklore at the international level over recent years.

Portugal:

In this year 2009, the group performed several times in the neighboring country, particularly in Matosiños, Ponte de Lima and Lisbon. The most significant action was the latter, in which the group accompanied a INORDE (Institute of Desenvolvemento Ourense) institutional representation to promote Ourense in those lands. He also participated in the Iberian Mask, and shared the stage with singer Maria do Ceo.
